Deb,
I hope all is well with you. I wanted to forward you some photos of the two horses you sold us.

The first photo is the green (dark bay) TB from Louisiana we picked up last January. His name is Rodrigo, and as part of his training he has completed a Michael Page clinic at Caumsett. Pictured here he is doing the John Strumpf clinic through the IHA on May 22.

The second photo is the liver chestnut Canadian sport horse we purchased from you a year ago April. This photo was taken during the May 22 John Strump 3' jumping clinic. He showed the next day at Hidden Ponds. Jackie and "Parker" took all four blue ribbons in Open Equitation 2'6"-2'9", the medal and Grand Champion.

Just thought you would like to know how great the horses you sell are!

Regards,
Jennifer Siani

Cheval de Guerre- "Marky" was sold to Tyler Amend in 2006 as a 3'6" prospect. Under the watchful eye of trainer Ross Kaplan the pair has won numerous L.I.H.S.A.A year end awards, many tri-colors at prestigious shows such as Garden State Monmouth and HITS, qualified Marshall & Sterling Finals two years in a row and are now competing successfully in the Level 4 Jumpers in Grand Prix Rings across the Zone. We wish this team continued success!!

Snap Decision - Purchased by trainer Patty Messina from Long Island as a green prospect, this horse went on to become one of the most successful Children's Hunter Horses on the east coast. Besides winning champions and reserves at such "A" shows as The Hampton Classic and Fairfield, Snap Decision garnered the highest award possible in his division by winning the championship of the Marshall & Sterling Children's Hunter Classic Finals held at the Washington International Horse Show (photo on left).

I Love Lucy - This large pony was purchased by Long Island trainer Patty Messina as a school pony. However, Lucy became much more than that! Her willing disposition and cute way of going pivoted her to many successful shows where she gave her young riders much confidence as they won champions and reserves in the Short Stirrup and Pre-Children's Hunter divisions. Her consistency also earned her the year-end Long Island High Score Awards Pre-Children's Hunter Championship. In this photo she and her rider, Megan Stolarski, are receiving the reserve championship award at the Hampton Classic for Short Stirrup 9 and Under.

Tonka Toy is one of Long Island's most winningest horses ever! This beautiful Appendix gelding was sold to Eileen Matz as a Pre-Green horse with Bobby Savage as his rider and trainer. Tonka has gone all the way to the top. He was Long Island High Score champion in Pre-Greens, Specials, and First-Year Green. Now this year he is once again Long Island High Score in the Pre-Adult Hunter with owner/rider Eileen Matz. This horse has hundreds of championships and awards to his name and he was purchased right here!

Corado: This beautiful grey imported warmblood gelding was sent to Grouse Ridge to be sold from a good friend in Florida. When Joyce Daly saw him, it was love at first sight. Joyce wasn't even shopping for a horse at the time and had come to Grouse Ridge with a friend who was looking for a trail-type horse. However, when Joyce saw Corado standing in his stall, she couldn't keep her eyes off him. She purchased him two days later. Since that summer of 2002, this pair has competed in has and been champion at many good shows including HITS in the Catskills 2002 in Children's/Adult Jumpers (photo on left). Her dream is to compete in Florida/Palm Beach in the winter of 2003 . Great things are coming and we wish her the best of success!
